March 20 -21: Rover Rescue is an Official Charity Partner for the LA Marathon. Dedicated dog lovers will be running the marathon, or walking or running the 5K race to raise funds for Rover Rescue. The LA Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2010. The all new course from Stadium to Sea – will begin at Dodger Stadium and end at the beach in Santa Monica. The LA Marathon 5K will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 and will be held at Dodger Stadium.You can choose to participate in either event. This is a pledge-type fundraiser and all funds raised will go towards saving the lives of homeless?dogs. All participants will receive a free Rover Rescue t-shirt. March 21: GSROC invites you to a wine and cheese tasting event to benefit their homeless German Shepherds. L’Opera Ristorante has made this special evening possible with inviting great wineries, unique entertainment and a portion of the wine sales and any dinners served in conjunction with this event will be donated to the rescue so that more lives can be saved. The cost is $45.00 each person, all proceeds from this event will be donated to GSROC, includes sampling from some of the finest wineries in California.
