Canine Companions for Independence Graduation Ceremony
May 17: The Canine Companions for Independence Graduation Ceremony is an emotional and inspiring event in which people with disabilities receive their new, highly-trained assistance dogs. These dogs, which are provided free of charge to the graduates, have been in training for over two years and know approximately 50 commands to help with everyday tasks. It is open to the public and admission is free.
