March 7: The Pet Care Patch Workshop at spcaLA is for young animal lovers, ages 6-12, who are interested in learning about proper animal care and age–appropriate animal issues. Earning this patch teaches participants more about animals, including responsible ways to care for pets and ways to help animals in their communities.

April 26-28: Kids of all ages will find plenty to bark about at Pet Expo. Pet adoptions, live animal shows, and pet products galore!
May 3: Grab Rover and join Waggin Trails Rescue Foundation for the Wags-n-Wine fundraising event featuring wine, beer, and spirits tasting, food samples, various vendors, live music, Pooch Pageant, silent & live auction, pet adoptions and more!
May 16: Bring your pup for a day of fun in the sun at the SoCal Wienerfest! There will be Dachshund rescues with adoptable low-riders, wiener races, giveaways, vendors, raffles, contests for the best outfit and best trick, and lots of adorable doxies.

June 7: Adopt your newest family member from pet rescue groups or shelters, browse people- and pet-related vendors, enjoy food trucks, and more at the 14th annual Super Pet Adoption event.
June 6 and 21: Fish can get sick too! Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for a job shadow class led by Aquarium Educators. Interact with animal care staff, tour the veterinarian facility, observe staff perform a procedure on an animal, diagnose a treat a “sick” stuffed animal, discover tricks to give finicky ocean friends their medicine and much more.
August 29 – 30: Part expo, part symposium, CatCon engages, educates and entertains thousands of fans, featuring the latest in groundbreaking products and ideas for cats and their people.
September 12: Bring your friendly dog and join thousands of people to celebrate companion animals. The adopt-a-thon includes dog, cat, parrot and rabbit adoptions. Enjoy music, food, vet tips, pet products and services, kids art area, auction, contests and more!
September 26: Get stoked for the Huntington Beach Surf Dog Competition, where fearless surFUR dogs will jump on their boards and hang 20! This event brings together the community, surfers, dog lovers, families and pets for some doggone fun!
