September 29: Join hundreds of dog adorers and rescued canines at the 2019 Best Friend 5K Run and Dog Adoption Day! This is a 2 part event. While runners and dogs will be participating in the 5K run, the general public is welcome to participate in a free event – Dog Adoption Day. Local animal shelters and rescuers will be in attendance as they introduce their furry animals to members of the community. Each dog and human will be awarded with a finisher’s medal. A portion of the proceeds go to The Dog Cafe, Los Angeles. Check website for race fees and times.  Saturday, 8 a.m.
