July 7: Grab your canine sidekick and the whole family and head to the future home of the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park for a celebration of heroes big and small! The comic-inspired event will feature pet cosplay contests, themed photo opportunities, music, games and activities for kids, trivia, opportunity drawings, food, vendors and more. All proceeds benefit the animals and programs at Helen Woodward Animal Center.

$10 admission. $10 Cosplay Contest Entry. Categories include Super Heroes, Super Villains, Cartoon Canines, Pop Culture Pups and Dynamic Duos, Trios and More. Contestants will be judged on creativity, enthusiasm and execution by a select panel of experts. Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants in each category. Trivia game entry $20. Sunday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
