Pet Loss Counseling and Support Groups of Orange County in Irvine
February 2: Pet Loss Counseling and Support Group provides therapeutic and compassionate support to assist you when saying goodbye to the pet you love. Facilitated by Andrea Keith, LMFT, support group meets at 12:30 p.m., typically on the first Saturday of each month. No reservations required.

 

SoCal Pet Con in Anaheim
February 9-10: Bring your pet to the So Cal Pet Con! Check out special appearances, 100+ pet-friendly exhibitors, live demos, low-cost vaccinations, lure coursing, giveaways, free nail trims, and much more for the whole family! Plus a mega-adoption event. All pets must be on a fixed lead and up to date on vaccinations. For dogs and cats, proof of age-appropriate vaccinations must be provided unless pet is receiving booster at event. Proof of vaccination can be shown in the form of a rabies tag, a pet license, vet paperwork, or a vaccination receipt.

Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Advanced tickets: Adults, $5. Kids, $3.
At the door: Adults, $8. Kids, $5.
Children 5 and under, free.

 

3rd Annual Valentine’s Doggie Wedding and Dog Adoption at Crafted at the Port of LA
February 9: Come celebrate a bridal party made up of shelter dogs- you might just find a new family member to adopt! This is a charity event to raise money for the American Cancer Society and support dog adoptions. There will be a raffle filled with items from artists at Crafted, a sloppy kissing booth, and food for humans and for dogs. Wedding attire for the guests is encouraged! Sunday, noon – 3 p.m.

 

Bulldog Beauty Contest in Long Beach
February 10: Join the 15th annual largest gathering of English bulldogs in the world! Some of the other 19 contests that day for all breeds/mixes include best large dog, best small dog, best tail, best legs, best smile, and best butt. The dogs will parade down the red carpet and get judged by real-life beauty queens, all to help raise money for CAT and animal welfare causes. Cat and dog adoption fair, food trucks and vendors, too! Sunday, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. $10/advance per dog; free to spectate.

 

From Rescue to Runway Grooming Competition at Wallis Annenberg Petspace in Los Angeles
February 10: Watch Healthy Spot’s Grooming team go paw-to-paw to transform some of Wallis Annenberg PetSpace’s adoptable pets in hopes of helping them find their furever homes. This Japanese style grooming competition will be judged by celebrity guest, Kenichi Nagase! Stop by and ejnoy a friendly grooming competition, Q&A with Japanese stayle grooming experts, adoptable pets, treats, takeaways, raffle prizes and giveaways. Pets are welcome! All pets must remain on-leash and be current on all vaccines. Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Free.

 

Kids’ Pet Parade in San Juan Capistrano
February 16: Kids (5-12) and their pets compete in a variety of contests. Saturday, 10 a.m. Rain date, Saturday, February 23. $5, pre-registration on their website.

 

Cat’s Meow Fundraiser Brunch for Blue Bell Foundation in Laguna Beach
February 17: Join this fundraiser and enjoy a delicious champagne buffet brunch and silent auction of beautiful gifts. This year they will be giving a prize for best “Cat Themed Attire”! $55 Adult, per person. $15 Children under 12, per child. Reservations in advance by February 15, 2019. Please note that no tickets will be sold at the door. Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
