April 22-24: Its all about bow-wow-wow, the cats meow and everything in between for all creatures big and small! The annual Americas Family Pet Expo returns to the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa with this family-friendly, pet-loving event. With more than 1,000 animals including dogs, cats, birds, fish, llamas, pot bellied pigs, goats, rats, reptiles, rabbits, and more on site, attendees will enjoy a weekend full of cute creatures on display and in interactive stage shows, competitions and demonstrations. The Expo also features thousands of pet products for sale at special show prices, the latest trends in pet grooming and care, and hundreds of animals available for adoption. Whether you come for pet education, pet shopping, or pet fun, this Orange County event will provide you with a weekend of fun. Don’t miss San Clemente sisters Alexa and Avery Roemer (10 and 9), the pre-teen duo, who fronts a six-piece band known as “A Rae and the Rescue Dogs,” will be belting out original tunes from their debut CD “Songs About Dogs.” Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Adults, $13; seniors $11; kids (6-12), $8. Free admission for kids ages 5 and sunder and active and retired military members. Pets are not allowed.
