July 20: 100 mighty wiener dogs, 10 trial heats, one championship race, and one dog with bragging rights of “Fastest Wiener Dog in the West!” Proceeds benefit the Seal Beach Animal Care Center. Only dachshunds participating in the Wiener Nationals are allowed. The first race begins Saturday, 6:30 p.m. Adults $3, kids (17 and under) free.
